    • ‘Connectforce Companions’ provides virtual friendships and digital training for older people to offer connection and reduce loneliness in the community

    • ‘Get Vocal’ is a series of creative workshops which instil confidence to help marginalised young people to achieve their goals and increase employment opportunities

  • The July 2022 report summarises the social benefit that it has created, including 91% people feeling more positive as a result of their community programmes

Creatively connecting communities

Connectforce seeks to combat the isolation and growing disconnect within marginalised communities by bringing together professional creatives (actors, dancers, singers etc) with people of all ages who would benefit from support; building connection, creativity & confidence.

The social enterprise provides one-on-one chats, mentoring and group workshops for marginalised communities, putting connection and creativity at the heart of everything they do.

“It’s like getting a boost of sunshine. It’s a lightning bolt of happiness for just 20 minutes."

- Lorna, older companion and digital ambassador about her experience with Connectforce Companions

In their endeavour to further tackle the loneliness epidemic, Connectforce has also launched Get Vocal Youth - acting derived workshops delivering communication and self-expression training to 16-25 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds. Get Vocal’s purpose is to support the young participants into higher education, the workplace, or simply give them the confidence to pursue their dreams.

A study of 20,000 people found that Gen Z scored highest for loneliness even over senior citizens (48% vs. 39%)
